About Thomas H. McNeely

Thomas H. McNeely, a Wallace Stegner fellow at Stanford University, is at work on a novel. His fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in The Atlantic Monthly, The Virginia Quarterly Review, and New Stories from the South: The Year's Best 2000. His short story "Sheep" was listed as a distinguished story in Best American Short Stories 2000, and as a recommended story in the O. Henry Awards the same year. "Tickle Torture" was listed as a distinguished and recommended story in those anthologies (Best American, 2002; O.Henry, 2003); it also won the Texas Institute of Letters award for best short story of 2002.
