Before we begin to address these topics, however, we are first going to look back at the topics we have already covered and how you worked your way through the first discussion unit. While a distance learning course clearly reduces the kinds of classroom interaction to which we are all accustomed, I hope the design of this course allows us to take advantage of some of the opportunities not available in the classroom environment. The grouping of course topics into discussion units is one attempt on my part to provide a new type of learning interaction.
As a first reflection on your progress through the course thus far, I would like you to look back over the path you chose in working your way through the first discussion unit. In a one page critical reflection, please answer the following questions:
1) In what order did you move thought the discussion unit sections?
2) Which topics did you find most difficult? Which topics were easiest to understand?
3) If you switched from one section to another before completing the first, why did you do so?
4) If you skipped past any assignments and completed them later, why did you choose to do so?
5) Which five assignments did you find most helpful? Which five did you find least helpful?
